About us
GGR Systems Limited is one of the most dynamic identity verification companies in Kenya. Our infrastructure integrates with the national population register, the centralised government database that serves as the backbone for identity verification across the country.
Every Kenyan citizen receives a National ID card at 18. It carries a unique identification number and is required for almost everything, from opening a bank account and registering a SIM card to accessing government services.
With non-document verification, a business checks the customer's ID number directly against government-held records instead of asking for photos of documents. The result rests on official data, not on files the customer uploads.
How it works
The API runs behind your mobile app, web platform or digital onboarding journey.
We set up your account with sandbox and live API credentials and access to the client portal.
Register the public IP addresses your servers call from. Requests from anywhere else are refused.
Fixed test numbers return every outcome, so you can build and test your integration at no cost.
Prepay in KES or USD. Each lookup is charged from your balance, with low-balance alerts by email.
Send an ID number and receive the registered details as structured JSON for your onboarding and compliance records.
Every lookup returns one of three outcomes: Found Not found Not completed, not charged
Why non-doc verification
Mobile money brought millions into the financial system and taught customers to expect fast, mobile, accessible services. Any business in Kenya's financial ecosystem needs onboarding that keeps up.
The Central Bank of Kenya requires banks, payment providers, mobile money operators and lenders to verify customers before serving them. Checking ID numbers against government records means far less manual document review.
A growing number of payment, lending and savings platforms compete for Kenya's digitally active population. Each needs verification that scales with growth instead of slowing acquisition.
Kenya has one of the world's most active digital lending markets, with millions of micro-loans issued through apps every month. Lenders need instant identity checks to stay fast while preventing fraud.
Telecoms meeting SIM registration rules, healthcare platforms onboarding patients remotely, insurers verifying policyholders and marketplaces building trust between buyers and sellers all need digital identity checks.
